1. How BIG is your GIANT Fortune Cookie?
 




Our “Giant” sized cookies are almost the size of a football!

They contain a 1 ft-long fortune inside.

Our cookies measure 19.5” in circumference.

Each cookie is approximately 6.5” x 6.5” x 6” inches –each cookie is hand-folded and formed, so the finished size varies slightly.

Each cookie is gift boxed in a 7” x 7” x 7” Gift Box.

Our giant fortune cookies can weigh anywhere between 14 oz to over 1 lb depending on how they’re dipped and decorated.
2. How BIG are your Grand Fortune Cookies?
 

Our “Grand” sized fortune cookies are about the size of a baseball or large naval orange. They are recommended for party favors, place settings, invitations, corporate giveaways, and more. Each cookie is gift boxed in a 6” x 6” x 6” Gift Box.

3. What is the Shelf Life of your Products?
 
Since our product offering is so versatile, the shelf life varies between products.                                   

All Red Riding Hood cookies are ideal at room temperature (between 65–72 degrees). A cool closet, pantry or cellar is just fine- just keep out of direct sunlight. DO NOT REFRIGERATE OR FREEZE YOUR COOKIES!!! We use real chocolate, so subjecting it to major temperature changes can cause it to discolor and look unappetizing. All products should be kept air-tight (in original wrapper) stored in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight.

·         Gourmet Fortune Cookies: Up to 6 months


·         Picture Cookies: 6-9 months when stored properly. Image will begin to fade after 3 months if exposed to light.


·         Chocolate Dipped Oreos®, Biscotti & Pretzels: 6-9 months


·         Gourmet Baked Cookies & Brownies: 4-6 weeks


·         Caramel Chocolate Apples:  4-10 Days (Keep Refrigerated)

5. Can I Personalize My “Traditional Size” Fortune Cookies?
 
Yes, we can personalize your messages for you! A printing fee applies to orders under 400 Cookies- When you order 400 cookies, you can have 4 FREE personalized messages!        

Lead time is between 1-2 weeks for personalization. We can fulfill Rush Orders for an additional fee.

Imprint Area: 3 lines of 36 characters per line including spaces. We can accept your logos as well!

Yes! Every one of our delicious gourmet gifts is custom-made-to-order. We offer our most popular ways of packaging, but you can always request custom items and packaging too!

The sky’s the limit with Red Riding Hood customized cookies! We can create custom cut cookies in different shapes & sizes, custom royal icing designs, custom labels, custom cookie tins, printed ribbon, custom imprinted cellophane and much, much more!

 

Just because you don’t see something on our online catalog doesn’t mean we won't create it for you! We customize cookies for our customers all the time. Cookies, Candy, Gift Towers, Tins, Gift Baskets & Much, Much More!

How Do I Personalize My Picture Cookies?

It’s as easy as saying “CHEESE!” E-mail Art@redridinghoodedibles.com the artwork or send us the picture and we’ll scan it for you at no charge! Our full-service Art Department will be happy to add text, crop and re-size images and more at no additional charge.

What Image Files Do You Accept?

Our full-service Art Department accepts most image files: JPG, EPS, BMP, GIF, Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop file formats, and PDF’s are all acceptable. If there is a problem with an image we’ll let you know within 1 business day so no time is lost.

How Do  Picture Cookies Taste?

Our delicious Picture Cookies are made using our top-secret process- other companies have tried to imitate our final product, however our quality and taste speaks for itself: they’re absolutely delicious and there’s no edible-paper bitter after-taste because our edible art is sugar-based! Our edible images are completely incorporated into the White Belgian Chocolate we use and taste delectably delicious –we guarantee you’ll love them!

8. Summer Shipping and Breakage Questions
 

Do You Ship Your Products During Summer?

Yes. Between early May-October we ship ALL Chocolate Products with our re-usable 12oz Ice Packs via UPS® Overnight  to prevent melting. It is your responsibility to ensure that the recipient is home to receive their package to prevent melting while sitting outside. We recommend shipping to a business address for earlier delivery and to ensure receipt of the delivery. *2-Day Air is available to destinations with temperatures below 85 degrees farenheit.  

Will My Cookies Arrive Safely?

It took over a year to develop safe shipping boxes and packaging materials. We guarantee your cookies will arrive in absolutely perfect condition or we will replace them or give you a full refund.  In the rare event that your or your recipient should receive a broken cookie, please contact us immediately so we can make it right.

 Your 100% Satisfaction Is Guaranteed!  A great deal of care and consideration has gone into the development, packaging and shipping of all of our gifts.We guarantee that you and those who receive your gifts will be completely delighted, otherwise we will replace your gift or issue a refund. We offer you many shipping options -from Ground to Next Day Air- in order to best suit your needs. We also offer a Deliver-By Date Service where you can request a future delivery date. WHERE WE SHIP:

At this time, we ship within the Continental United States.

 

Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii require shipping via Overnight or 2-Day Air ONLY at an additional charge of $10-$15 added to your total after your order is processed. Please contact a Confectionary Consultant at 1-206 819 1737  for more information.

 

Un-"fortune"-ately we do NOT ship to APO/FPO's, PO boxes or International at this time.

 

Red Riding Hood Edibles cannot guarantee shipments to Hospitals and Hotels.  Packages are normally sent to a general receiving department before being routed internally to the patient's and/or guest's room. Please be advised for hospital deliveries the patient's room number and ward/unit are required on the delivery address by the hospital, without this information the hospital can refuse delivery.    

Because your gift will not be delivered directly to the recipient, we cannot guarantee this type of delivery and will be unable to issue a refund if the patient and/or hotel guest checks out or is unable to be located within the facility. Please be advised there will be additional charges added to have the package re-routed if the patient/guest has checked out or has been released. For perishable items shipped but refused upon delivery at either a hospital or hotel and returned back to us, a refund will NOT be issued.

 

If you are shipping to a corporation or large office, please let your recipient know to expect a perishable (and delicious!) package. Red Riding Hood Edibles  is not responsible if the business is closed and the carrier is unable to deliver the package. For business addresses, please include as much information as possible including company name, telephone number, suite number, recipient's name and department, if applicable.

 

PACKAGE DELIVERY  
Orders are shipped via the method you indicated on your order!

 

We highly recommend shipping to an address where someone will be able to receive the package when it is delivered. We suggest shipping to a work place or arranging for someone to be home on the date you expect your delivery. Chocolate left outside your home all day may be damaged by weather that is too hot, cold, rainy or humid.
If the recipient is not at home to receive package, our carrier will leave the package without a signature required. You may request Signature Service by calling Customer Service and requesting it. Our carrier will leave packages at the courier's discretion. If it is safe to leave a package will do so, however, Red Riding Hood Edibles is NOT responsible for packages left without a signature. Please ensure that recipient is home to receive the package OR have it shipped to a place of business where someone may sign for it. Commercial deliveries require an adult signature.

 

We can not guarantee delivery will be made if the shipping company is unable to deliver a package due to incomplete/incorrect address information.

  • Refunds or replacements will only be given if your order arrives damaged.
  • If your order arrives late due to a Shipping Company (UPS or FedEX) delay, you will be credited for shipping charges once the cause of the delay is determined. Delays due to extreme weather and natural disasters are NOT subject to a shipping refund.
  • Orders sent to a wrong or incomplete address are NOT guaranteed and may be assessed an additional $10.00 fee. We reserve the right to bill you for incomplete/incorrect addresses that result in this additional fee.
  • Orders may arrive sooner than your requested "Deliver By Date." Please see our Shipping Rates Table for more complete information on transit time.
Food items and perishables cannot be returned.
WARM WEATHER SHIPPING OF CHOCOLATE PRODUCTS:
 ALL chocolate products are shipped  with Gel Ice Packs between May and October regardless of the destination.

We do not charge anything additional for Ice Packs.

 

Red Riding Hood Edibles does NOT guarantee Ground Shipments of Chocolate Products between May and October regardless of destination. Southern CA residents may choose Ground Shipping, however we are not responsible for any delays and subsequent melting that may occur for Ground Shipments. Only Premium Air Service is guaranteed by our carrier to arrive to you within the commitment time.

 

Please note that if your destination is over 75 Degrees Fahrenheit, we strongly advise that you select an appropriate shipping method (Overnight or 2-Day Air*) to ensure proper delivery of your chocolate product. Our orders are processed automatically and we cannot guarantee that we can intercept your order if you have chosen an inappropriate shipping method (i.e., shipping a chocolate product to FL, NM, AZ, TX or other extremely hot states via Standard Ground during late Spring/Summer.)

 

We reserve the right to add $5-$10 to your order total if we feel that your product will not arrive safely via the method you have selected. Our goal is to make you happy- melted chocolate is in no one's best interests! Please check local weather conditions to help determine your best shipping option.

 

EXTREMELY HOT STATES: We do guarantee our products against melting ONLY when shipped via Priority Overnight Shipping.

 

Red Riding Hood Edibles cannot be responsible for damage if you (or the recipient of a gift) are not present at the time of delivery and the damage occurs as a result of the delay in claiming the package. WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?  

All orders placed before 3PM (EST)/Noon Pacific will be processed that same day.

 

Weekend orders and orders placed after 3PM (EST)/Noon PST will be processed on the next business day.

 

Since temperatures vary across the country we may elect not to ship any package over a weekend to guarantee its arrival in premium condition. Therefore, we can not guarantee Monday deliveries on any order. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

 

Our normal shipping days during the warm months and to warm-weather areas (holidays excluded) for Overnight, Express Saver, Second Day, and Ground shipments are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Overnight shipments are also sent on Thursday, and Saturday Delivery shipments are sent on Friday. This schedule is designed so your chocolate does not sit over the weekend in a warehouse without temperature controls. We may ship on Thursday or Friday if cool temperatures allow your chocolate to be safely transported.

 

Non-chocolate products are exempt from our warm-weather shipping and can safely travel year round via Standard Shipping! Please contact a Confectionary Consultant to explore the many non-chocolate and "worry free" options we offer!

 

Please refer to our Shipping Rates Table below to get rates. Our rates are based on a per package basis. Customer Service will contact you if multiple packages are required to ship your order.

IMPORTANT: Our carrier assesses a $10.00 fee for each incorrect or incomplete address. We reserve the right to bill you for this correction fee, so please make sure the information you provide us with is correct and up-to-date!

How do I return my product?

  If you feel that you have received the wrong product, please contact customer service within 72 hours of receiving the product.
When will my order ship?
  Please see each individual item page for more information on the availability of each item. Also, after placing your order, you  will receive a shipment confirmation when your order has shipped and tracking information within 24-48 hours of shipment.
 
I Recieved The Wrong Order. What Do I Do? 
 
In the rare event that you receieved the wrong order due to our fault, we will either replace or refund your order.

To receive a refund or replacement, please report the problem with your order within 48 hours of receipt.

We may isue store credit if you reported the problem after that time period. (Store credit is issued at the discretion of Red Riding Hood Edibles.)

We may ask you to return the product to us: if applicable, we will issue a call tag and have UPS come and pick up the package. Please make sure that the gift is in its original packaging and intact.
My Gift Arrived Damaged!  What Do I Do?
 
 

We want your experience to be a "fortune"-ate one, so if your gift arrives damaged or broken we will replace it.  Period. no questions.

We ask that you retain all product and packaging for inspection by our carrier, UPS and your claim must be made within 24 hours from the time the gift is received.

If your gift has arrived damaged, please contact Customer Service at 1 206 819 1737.
